Nark Ruffalo is calling for Justice for the Victims of Torture

Collage of Torture Photos, and a speech by Mark Ruffalo urging to release torture related photographs and to prosecute war criminals and ex-top officials of the Bush administration. Filmed at a press conference held by "The World Cant Wait", a human rights and social justice organization, at the City of West Hollywood City Hall. Presentations were made by John Duran, West Hollywood Councilmember, Michael Rapkin, attorney, John Heard, actor, Debra Sweet, national director of the World Cant Wait, Paul Haggis, Academy Award winning film director and Mark Ruffalo, actor.

This video clip shows the extensive strip mining of Appalachian mountains near Charleston, WV. The flyover was provided by SouthWings (www.southwings.org) and depicts Kayford Mountain, a 1200-acre mine operation; Brushy Fork coal slurry impoundment, which holds 9.8 billion gallons of toxic sludge; Marsh Fork Elementary School, located just 150 feet from a coal loading silo and 400 yards from a 2.8 billion toxic waste impoundment; and the town of Sylvester, a community whose health and property has been adversely affected coal dust from an adjacent mountaintop removal mining operation.

Verdict Brings Omagh 'Justice'


The families have said the civil case was about principles, not money. The Omagh families' landmark legal victory holds out the prospect of justice for victims of terrorists who escape the clutches of the criminal law.
